Counseling Services
Kendra is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland (license no. LGP16873).
I offer individual, couples, families, and group sessions.
The focus of my work is in grief and loss. This is sometimes related to death and sometimes related to other life experiences. I pull from attachment theory, existential and narrative therapies, somatic therapy, neuroscience, and parts work.
Counseling Rates
I am committed to making necessary counseling affordable and available within my community. Sliding scale and reduced fee services are available. I use the Green Bottle method for my sliding scale.
Full-Fee Rates:
Individual session (55 min): $150
Couples/Family session (90 min): $250
I am an out of network provider and do not take insurance. I will provide you with all the necessary receipts and paperwork to apply for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company regarding reimbursement.

Essentially, you, the client, come with a concern and we work on it together. For some clients, the concern is clear, but at times finding out the issue is part of our work together.
Industry standard is a 50-minute session once per week. This works for some people, but I value an approach that allows for flexibility.

We have a flexible cancellation policy that prioritizes both your sanity and mine. First cancellations and no-shows are not charged. Two or more no-shows or late cancellations are billed at $50 per session and may result in a pause of services or discharge.

In therapy, there is an identified client. All our work together, our goals and confidentiality are built around working with that client. My work is to support the healthful function and growth of the identified client.
In individual therapy, the identified client is one person.
In couple’s therapy, the identified client is a romantic unit. I meet with, develop goals with, and maintain confidentiality with that unit.
In family therapy, the identified client is the entire family, however that is defined for them.
There can be guests in therapy. A great deal of my work is in death and grief. These are difficult conversations and I am happy to support by being present. An individual or couple or family may decide that they would like to have a guest at a session (or several). It is the client’s time. In these cases, though, the identified client does not change. Goals and confidentiality are maintained between me and the identified client.
