Summer Series Featured

C-CAT’s Summer Death Education Series has been featured in the Frederick News Post. As a member of the Frederick community, I am incredibly honored to be featured, and to be able to share my work for the good of the community.

We often try to process and manage difficult feelings alone or with only the most trusted individuals. Perhaps a partner, a parent, a best friend, or a therapist are ones we can trust with our pain. The Death Positive movement confronts this norm by attempting to make speaking about death more of a normal part of our lives. The Summer Series offers a public forum to discuss aspects of death and grief without becoming overwhelmed by the emotions we might otherwise face.

The Summer Death Education Series features four different talks, offered both in person, in Frederick Maryland at the C. Burr Artz Library, as well as online.

Also, a huge shout-out to the author Ian Chen, a local High School student and journalist, who led a great interview and wrote a piece featured front page above the fold.
